Florida the Sunshine State
Florida the Sunshine State is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for fun things to do. It’s rich in history when the Native American Indians roamed this land up to modern times. Many freshwater lakes are fun to swim in and to go fishing in. Not to mention there are beaches on every side of Florida. The climate is very nice in the wintertime, staying in the 60s and 70s for the most part. The summers can get a bit extreme with temperatures reaching up to 102 degrees, sometimes even hotter especially when the humidity is up there. When the weather does get too hot you can always find a spot to cool down.
Many Fresh Water Springs in Florida
Florida has around 700 crystal-clear freshwater springs across the state. Some of the more popular ones are Rainbow River/Rainbow Springs, Crystal River, Ginnie Springs, Weeki Wachee Springs, and Madison Blue Springs. The water temperature in all the springs stays around 72 degrees all year long and the water stays crystal-clear.
The best parts of Florida are the Freshwater Springs in my opinion. Some of the best springs in Florida are Silver Springs, Kelly Rock Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs, and Wekiwa Springs. I live close to Silver Springs and have been there many times boating up and down the river. If you get lucky enough, you will have all the monkeys come down by the river. You can also take your boat if you launch a little way down the river and then travel up through the river without actually entering the park.
Plenty of Amusement Parks in Florida
If you’re looking for something else fun to do while visiting Florida, you can check out the many amusement parks in this state. You have Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and Old Town. If you have children, I am sure they would love to visit this state and visit some of these places. You also have Legoland Florida which is located in Winter Haven.
Other than the amusement parks that Florida offers, there are plenty of nice cities to visit. Clearwater Beach has dolphin tours, parasailing, private pontoon boat tours, and more. You also have Orlando which has so many things you can do, especially if you have little children.
